We are the closest surf camp to the Luz beach, Luz bars and restaurants. We provide a top customized service and our location gives you the possibility of discovering the Portuguese way of life just by walking around.

What is Future Eco Surfing School?

Future Eco Surfing School is one ofe the most experienced and completely certified surf school in the Algarve. What better way to connect people with their inner joy and nature than to teach them how to surf? Surfing is more than just a sport. It is an experience that reminds us right at the beginning that we are a small drop of water in a huge ocean, but an essential piece in the giant puzzle that is life.

Are your courses for beginners and people who have never surfed before?

The courses are meant for two specific publics: (1) for people that never had a surfing lesson or just had a short experience in surfing so far – beginners level; (2), for intermediate level surfers that already have the basic knowledge of surfing and are looking forward to improving skills in paddling out, choosing/catching waves by themselves and develop the basic maneuvers such as trimming, bottom turn, etc.

Is there a specified weekday for arrival and on which day will the surf course begin?

No, but during July and August, if you are going for week package the arrival is every Monday to start the surf course on Tuesday.

When is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am.

How and when do I pay my holidays?

We ask you to pay a 20% deposit when you book. The rest you can easily pay after arrival in cash or by card, but the last one has a 2,75% surcharge.

Do I have to bring towels and bedding?

We will provide you with bath towels and bedding, you only need to bring beach towel, but if you are travelling lite we have for rent.

Is it possible to eat vegi, vegan or gluten-free?

Yes! It is no problem at all! Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diet is possible. Please be sure to tell us in advanced if you have any food allergies or intolerances.

Which airport is closest to the camp?

Faro airport is about a 50 minutes drive from our camp. Apart from Faro, you can get cheap flights to Lisbon and Seville, both of which are approx. 300 km away.

How do I get to the surf camp?

From Faro, Lisbon or Seville you can either take the train or the bus to Lagos and from there you can ge an Uber or a Taxi, or if you prefer, you can ask us about airport transfers.

How is a normal surf day?

In general, you have breakfast at 8:30 am, around 9:00 your surf instructors will pick you up at the surf camp and drive to the best beach for the prevailing conditions (waves, wind, etc.). You will receive 3 hours of surf coaching, and will be brought back to the camp in the afternoon/evening. If you decide not to go one day to the course you need you tell in advance otherwise you loose that day.
After surfing you still have time to go around and visit the local area. Dinner starts to be served around 8:00 pm.

Can I also use the equipment outside of the surf lessons?

You may use the equipment for as long as there is a surf instructor on the beach with you. However, you will not be allowed to use the equipment independently after the course.

Are there any prerequisites for the surf course participation?

We accept students provided they know how to swim, nonetheless minimal age to start surfing is 7 years old. Please inform us about any restrictions due to health conditions that you may have so we can advise you the best we can.

Can I bring my own surfboard and wetsuit?

We provide you with top quality softtop surfboards or hardtop surfboard if you are an experienced surfer, however if you want to further improve your surfing skills, we say go for it! Please check with airlines as some companies are not surfboard friendly and charge an additional tax.

What happens in the case of a cancellation?

If after the down payment is made (reservation) you cancel the booking and we are still more than two months away from the first night at the surf camp, then we´ll refund you with 75% of the total amount paid. If we are a month away of the first night at the surf camp we´ll refund you with 50% of the amount paid. If the cancellation takes place less than a month from the first camp night or surf lesson we are sorry but we´ll not be able to refund you at all.

Cancelation Policy of surf lessons

If after the payment is done ( reservation or total payment ) you cancel the booking and we are still more then one month away from the first surf lesson, then we´ll refund you with 90% of the total amount paid, if we are between 3 weeks and one week from the first hotel night or surf lesson we´ll refund you with 50% of the total amount, if the cancellation takes place less than one week from the first surf lesson we are sorry but we´ll not be able to refund you at all.
