    A typical Surf Guiding week

    Arrival Day (Check-in from 15:00)

Settle in, meet the group, and get oriented. We’ll talk about your level, board choice, and what kind of waves you’re chasing.

    Guiding Days (5 days)

After breakfast we choose the best option based on swell, wind and tides. We’ll drive to the spot, talk through the conditions, and you’ll surf with the advantage of local timing and knowledge.

    Midday Breaks

Snack-pack on surf days. Depending on conditions, we may do one longer session or split the day for better tides/wind.

    Afternoons

Free time to rest, explore Lagos, stretch, or add yoga for recovery. We keep the week flexible.

    Evenings

A couple of nights per week we share homemade Portuguese dinners at the camp. Other nights you can explore local restaurants in Praia da Luz.

    Departure Day (Check-out by 11:00)

    Surf Guiding FAQ’s

What level do I need for Surf Guiding?

You should be able to surf independently: paddle out, handle line-ups, and surf unbroken waves. If you’re unsure, message me and I’ll tell you honestly which package fits best.

Is this the same as surf lessons?

No. Surf guiding is not a lesson program. It’s about local spot selection, timing, and safety so you get the best conditions for your level.

    Do you provide surf equipment?

This package is designed for experienced surfers who usually bring their own board. But we provide wetsuit and surfboard for those who like to travel lite.

Do we surf the same beach every day?

No. We plan around conditions. Depending on swell and wind, we may surf the west coast or the south coast.

How many hours do we surf per day?

It depends on conditions, tides and energy levels. The goal is quality sessions, not forcing it when it’s not good

Can I add yoga or other activities?

Yes. Many guests add yoga for recovery or book an extra experience on a rest day.

Surf the Algarve like a local

Stay in Praia da Luz and let local knowledge do the work—spot selection, timing, and conditions-based planning across both coasts. Calm camp vibes, great food, and the right wave when it counts.
